The U. S. Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force has arrested a man suspected of homicide and the shooting of three other people.
Dinwiddie County Sheriff's Investigators have charged 25-year-old Jaeon Chavis with 22 felonies related to the August 5 homicide of Jamell Snowden and the shooting of three other individuals that same night on Brunswick Avenue in the West Petersburg community of Dinwiddie County.
Chavis was arrested in Petersburg Tuesday afternoon.
He is charged with first degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding, two counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and multiple charges involving weapons violations.
He is being held without bond pending arraignment on Thursday.
