Route 360 to I-295 closed after tractor-trailer accident

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) -

State Police are investigating a tractor-trailer accident that caused hundreds of gallons of paint to spill out.

Police responded to the crash at around 1:00 p.m. Tuesday on the onramp from Route 360 westbound to Interstate 295 southbound in Hanover County.

The truck driver ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned onto its right side.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Crews are cleaning up approximately 200 gallons of water-soluble paint that spilled out from the crash. The ramp will remained closed while they offload the paint and upright the truck.

The driver was traveling from Port Royal to DeWitt at the time of the crash.

 The crash remains under investigation.
