Happy Friday from Gray! Once again, people are waking up without power. It all comes after storms blew through the area yesterday. At one point- 10-thousand people were in the dark. We will update you on the outages.
Breaking news this morning in the hit and run that killed a cyclist earlier this week. The Times Dispatch is reporting one of its employees told police he's the driver that hit and killed the cyclist.
Later today, July's jobs report will be released. Some Economists predict it will show about 100-thousand new jobs added. But that might not be good enough news for President Obama.
Kids will be heading back to school soon and beginning today, parents can save some money on back to school items. This year's Sales Tax Holiday for school supplies kicks off today. For three days, purchases of certain school supplies, clothing and footwear will be exempt from the Virginia Sales Tax. Each eligible school supply item must be priced at 20-dollars or less, and each eligible article of clothing and footwear must be priced at 100-dollars or less. The tax break lasts through Sunday.
