Pap smears are recommended for women age 21 and older. It is important to have them done routinely for surveillance and prevention of cervical cancer.
Women over 30 should have the high risk HPV (human papillomavirus) test added to their pap smears.
Annual well woman exams are essential and can by done by your primary care physician or gynecologist.
