Two armed robberies in Henrico's west end

GLEN ALLEN, VA (WWBT) - Henrico Police are investigating a pair of armed robberies in the county's west end.

According to police, the first robbery occurred at about 11:55 p.m. Friday in the 4400 block of Sprenkle Lane. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment after being pistol-whipped, but has since been released.

Police said another robbery happened shortly after the first in the 2900 block of Mary Beth Lane. No injuries were reported from that incident.

Henrico Police confirm a traffic stop was initiated nearby and several individuals were detained for questioning in relation to these cases, but a suspect is still at large.

In both robberies, the suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20's. The suspect is believed to be approximately 5'8" with a thin build, short black hair, and dark complexion.
