HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -
Another mosque is given the okay to be built in Henrico County. This one will be built in Short Pump in a wooded area where Shady Grove and Twin Hickory Roads meet.
The plans were unanimously approved by the Henrico County Planning Commission, but not without some opposition from neighbors.
Some complained that the mosque could add to the already congested traffic in Short
Pump. Another neighbor worried about the safety of children.
Despite those concerns, county leaders gave the plan the green light.
