Beef recall following salmonella contamination in Virginia

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Almost 30,000 lbs. of ground beef are being recalled over concerns of salmonella.

The 85% lean ground beef was produced at Cargill's plant in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania on May 25, and repackaged for sale to consumers by Hannaford supermarkets.

The recalled ground beef has use or sell by dates between May 29 and June 16.

Their have been 33 reported illnesses in seven states, included one here in Virginia.

You can return the ground beef for a refund.
