Multiple armed robberies reported in Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Richmond Police are asking the public for any information they may have on several, separate armed robberies that took place late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

At about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, a taxi driver reported picking up two men in the 1100 block of Carlisle Avenue. That driver told police one of the men later pointed a handgun and demanded money. About $100 was stolen from the driver, but that victim wasn't hurt.

Just before midnight, a woman reported being robbed in the 1400 block of Gavestone Court. According to police, a pickup truck pulled up next to the woman. A man, wearing a blue bandanna over his face, got out of the vehicle with a shot gun and demanded cash. The victim complied and the suspect then returned to the vehicle and fled the scene. The woman wasn't hurt.

At approximately 7:15 a.m. Sunday, a man reported being robbed by a man with a handgun in the 2600 block of Chamberlayne Avenue. It's unclear how much cash was stolen, but the victim wasn't hurt.

If you have any information about these crimes, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
