South side apartment fire under investigation

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

An apartment fire in Richmond's south side is now under investigation. It happened Saturday night around 6:30 p.m. in the 5300 block of Hull Street Road.

Once inside, fire crews discovered flames coming from a crockpot. The fire was under control in a matter of minutes, but the damage was done to the tune of $5,000.

No one was injured, but a dog inside the apartment did have to be given oxygen.
