The Cinebistro at Stony Point Fashion Park has beefed up security. The company has hired extra guards in light of the theater shooting in Colorado.
You normally don't see security outside Cinebistro but now you do.
And inside the glass doors, we're told there are more personnel on guard throughout the entire theater.
"I'm glad that people are here to protect us if need be but I don't think there will be another incident anywhere else," said Michael Harpe.
The latest Batman flick, Dark Knight Rises, had showings all day and the fans were there to support it.
"I wanted to watch this Batman movie, I'm pretty excited for it and what happened in Colorado is pretty devastating but it's not going to change the way I think about the movie," said Harpe.
"We got tickets yesterday before the tragedy happened in Colorado and we decided to still come see it," said Vanessa Sturz.
Cinebistro headquarters released a statement earlier saying its adding security to every one of its theaters. They also said the company is shocked and saddened by the news and say our hearts and prayers go out to all those affected by this senseless act.
"I just think it's heartbreaking that someone would do that," said Stephanie Trapani, "I felt like after what happened no one would want to do that again from the reaction but it makes me think is someone else going to copy cat," she said.
There is no evidence of another possible shooting; however, Cinebistro reps say they just want to make safety a top priority.
"I think this was an isolated incident and I think most of us were never in any danger but I do appreciate the precautions," said Greg Sturz.
