National Geographic Channel shoots television film in Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Crews from the National Geographic Channel are shooting in the Richmond area for the film 'Killing Lincoln.'

It's based on the book by Fox News commentator, Bill O'Reilly.

Billy Campbell plays the former president and Jesse Johnson is cast as John Wilkes Booth.

Steven Spielberg's 'Lincoln' film was shot in the area recently. That movie is set to hit theaters later this year.

This new documentary will hit the small screen early next year.
