Lynn JackenheimerThe body recovered in Frisco, NC has been identified as that of Lynn Jackenheimer.
Authorities along the North Carolina coast found the body at 4:30 p.m. July 14 in some brush surrounding a cul-de-sac off Highway 12.
The body was found just off the street about 20 to 30 miles from where 33-year-old Lynn Jackenheimer, of Ashland, Ohio, disappeared. She was last seen in the Salvo area of Hatteras on July 3, according to officials.
According to WAVY-10, several of her immediate family members and friends made the trip to the Outer Banks to help search for their loved one. Investigators say Jackenheimer's ex-boyfriend, Nathan Summerfield, confessed to killing Jackenheimer while on vacation in the Outer Banks to his brother. His brother then called police.
