
PRESS RELEASE
The Colonial Heights Police Department has made several arrests in connection with a string of burglaries to area convenience stores. These crimes took place during May and June of this year and caused approximately $2000.00 in damages to the businesses as well as the loss of approximately $4000.00 in merchandise. The Colonial Heights Police Department received several Crime Solvers tips, which aided in the resolution of these cases. As a result of this investigation, the Colonial Heights Police Department has charged a total of 4 adults and 2 juveniles in association with these burglaries. Additionally, these suspects are facing numerous charges in Chesterfield County for similar crimes. To date, the Colonial Heights Police Department has placed a total of 55 felony and 12 misdemeanor charges against these individuals. These charges include breaking and entering, grand larceny, conspiracy, possession of burglary tools and wearing a mask in public. The adults who have been charged are:
Jason Brannon, 19, Chester, VA — Chesterfield County Jail
Justin Deford, 18, Chester, VA — Out on Bond
Chelsea Netzley, 19, Chester, VA — Riverside Regional Jail
Tyler Wallace, 19, Chester, VA — Riverside Regional Jail
A preliminary hearing for these individuals has been set for August 1, 2012 at 1 pm in Colonial Heights General District Court in Colonial Heights Virginia. Petitions have been obtained and served on two juvenile suspects. Their court dates are pending in the Colonial Heights Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in Colonial Heights Virginia.
