The Chesterfield County Police Department, in partnership with Bon Secours St. Francis Watkins Centre and SAFE, Chesterfield's substance abuse prevention coalition, will help residents safely dispose of expired and unneeded medications on Saturday, July 14.
Chesterfield County Police will host a Medication Take-Back Day on July 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bon Secours St. Francis Watkins Centre, 601 Watkins Centre Parkway. Police and volunteers will be on hand to collect unused or expired prescription, over-the-counter and veterinary medications. A pharmacist will be on site to answer general medication questions, and tours of Bon Secours St. Francis Watkins Centre will be available.
Residents should leave medications in their original containers. Turning in expired and unused medications helps prevent medication abuse and protect the environment.
