Richmond connection to mom missing from Outer Banks

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

There is a Richmond connection to a case involving an Ohio woman who went missing in the Outer Banks.

Police believe 33-year-old Lynn Jackenheimer's boyfriend may have killed her while they were on vacation. Crews begin searching for her body Thursday. Police say her boyfriend, Nate Summerfield, is a person of interest in this case. Police believe he stayed at a Richmond area hotel after this woman went missing.

Jackenheimer's children are now with family members. Summerfield still hasn't been found.

Jackenheimer posted a picture with Summerfield buried in the sand July 3. She's been missing since July 4 while they were on vacation with her two children from another relationship. Summerfield's brother called 911 from Ohio when Nate told him he got into an argument with Lynn and strangled her. A search warrant issued in North Carolina says Nate may have buried her body.

Police need your help finding him. He was last seen in a dark charcoal, gray 2009 Honda Civic with Ohio plates FMV7540. If you've seen him, you're asked to call police right away.
