The Commonwealth is knocked from the top spot as the country's best place for business.
With the release of CNBC's sixth annual listing of the best states for business, the network moved Virginia from number one to number three.
Now, Texas has taken the top spot — with Utah in second.
Texas has been one of Virginia's biggest competitors in the race for number one.
Since 2007, Virginia and Texas have swapped spots every year.
