Police: Mom caught driving drunk with kids in Chesterfield

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A North Carolina mother faces charges in Chesterfield County, after police say she drove drunk with two children in the car.

That mother is charged with DWI, child abuse and neglect.

Police say she was driving early in the morning on the 4th of July while her 5-year old daughter and 1-year-old son were in the car.

Police say they did made sure the children were with a safe adult after charging the mom.
