Richmond police are investigating the robbery of a Chinese food delivery man. It happened in the 4000 block of Midlothian Turnpike, in the Midlothian Village Apartment Complex, at 6:40 p.m. Monday evening.
According to police, the victim is a 40-year-old white male who was delivering food from the Ho Wah restaurant on Jahnke Road in Richmond.
After the driver dropped off the food, he was confronted by two men, one of those men had a gun. The driver was not injured and the suspects fled on foot.
NBC12 spoke to another Ho Wah employee who says the suspects got away with the driver's cell phone and about $40 in cash.
The driver was not injured but now, another Ho Wah delivery man says he won't be delivering to Midlothian Village anytime soon.
As for Midlothian Village residents, they did not want to appear on camera but some tell us they were not surprised a man was robbed in their complex.
Richmond Police describe one suspect as short and weighs about 135 pounds. The other suspect is described as 5'10" and weighs about 175 pounds.
