Kickers Snap Three Game Skid with Win over LA

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Richmond Kickers snapped a three game losing streak Tuesday night with a 1-0 victory over the Los Angeles Blues.

Behind Robert Heins' first goal of the season and solid defensive play, the Kickers got back into the win column after a heartbreaking loss to the Rochester Rhinos last Saturday.

A fortunate deflection bounced Heins' way after Edson Elcock crossed the ball into the middle of the box from the left side of the field in the 66th minute.

Both teams managed seven shots, but it was three saves by Kickers goalie Ronnie Pascale that proved victorious. The Kickers improve to 5-5-5 on the season.

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will be the next team to visit City Stadium when they come to town Friday, July 13th.
