Burgess to play for Magic summer league team

VCU graduate and Benedictine product Bradford Burgess did not hear his name called in last week's NBA Draft, but the former Ram will still get his shot at making an NBA club.

Burgess has been invited to play on the Orlando Magic summer league team in Orlando.  This does not mean that he will play for the Magic next season, but will allow him to showcase his skills for the Magic, as well as the clubs they play during the summer league session.

Burgess will see some familiar faces on the Magic.  Former Richmond Spiders' Justin Harper and Kevin Anderson will both be on Orlando's summer league team as well.  Harper was taken in the second round of last year's NBA Draft by the Cavaliers and went to Orlando in a draft night trade.  Anderson played overseas last year, and received an invite to the Magic's summer league team as well.

The Orlando summer league will tip off next Monday and run through Friday, July 13.
