There are still 32,000 people in Greater Richmond without power this morning after Friday's storm downed trees and power lines. Governor McDonnell is urging patience as utility crews work to restore power to 255,000 Dominion customers statewide.
The death toll in Virginia has risen to at least seven from the storm. Virginia State Police says the state medical examiner has concluded a traffic death Friday night in Montgomery County was storm related. The other deaths all resulted from falling trees.
The National Weather Service will be in New Kent today to determine if a tornado touched down. One tornado is confirmed to have touched down in Hanover Friday.
