There are so many customers without power and expected to be that way for several days, the best way to stay informed is by using our NBC12 apps.

We have two apps to keep you up to date, one for news and one for weather. The news app not only shows you the top stories, but will also give you severe weather alerts. You can also click the video tab at the bottom of the screen to see our top videos, or weather videos including updated forecasts from the first warning weather team.

Our weather app is powered by WSI, the same company that powers our on-air weather graphics. In addition to a rich interactive map, it also will give you customized severe weather alerts based on your location, so you'll be ahead of the storm.

    16-year-old Raven Little-White died in August, after a boating accident on Lake Waccamaw. The medical examiner’s report lists “drowning” as the probable cause of death, but a toxicology report that came back later revealed Raven had actually succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning.
