Three dead in single vehicle accident on I-85

BRUNSWICK, VA (WWBT) -

Virginia State Police were called to a single vehicle accident on north bound Interstate 85 in Brunswick County Sunday.

A Ford Explorer, driven by Jose Anthony Ayber Jr., was traveling in the north bound lanes when the vehicle suffered mechanical failure. The vehicle swerved, lost control, and overturned several times ejecting three of the seven occupants.

Two passengers, 8-year-old Tiffany Cadral from North Burgen, New Jersey and 22-year-old Crystal Nicole Ayber from Glyndale, New York, died at the scene. Another passenger, 43-year-old Ms. Noella Oliveras, the mother of Tiffany Cadral, died on the way to the hospital. The driver and the surviving passengers were transported to several hospitals.

Alcohol and weather were NOT a factor in the accident. Fatal victims were not wearing their seat belts. At this time no charges have been placed against Mr. Jose A. Ayber, Jr..
