Hand, foot and mouth disease

Dr. Patrick Woodward is treating hand, foot and mouth disease.

This is primarily a disease of children and usually starts as fatigue and achiness.

Some symptoms usually begins with a temperature that can reach 102-103 degrees. Next come ulcers in the mouth and back of the throat.

A rash on the palms and soles is also a symptom, but does not happen often.

While hand, foot and mouth disease is very contagious, it's rarely dangerous.
