Old Dominion Football Players Facing Charges

NORFOLK, VA (WWBT) - Old Dominion University has issued out a campus alert to all students over the weekend after two ODU football players are facing numerous sexual charges. The two victims told police they were drugged and assaulted in a campus dorm room.

Twenty-Two year old Reid Evans and another student are behind bars with a laundry list of charges including rape, sodomy, abduction, conspiracy to commit sodomy, and conspiracy to commit abduction. The assaults allegedly happened last weekend, but the students were only notified through the campus alert late Friday night.

Campus police say this is the first time anyone has reported being a victim of a date rape drug on ODU's campus. While the two suspects are students at the university, we're told the victims are not. Both players are due in court Monday morning.
