Virginia State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle accident that forced a man in Prince George to jump off a bridge.
Prince George Fire and EMS tells us this all started as a call for a disabled vehicle, just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday on I-295 north near mile marker 13.
We are told a man was outside of his car when an accident occurred. To avoid being hit, the man jumped over a concrete barrier and landed nearly 100 feet below in a ravine.
Crater Technical Rescue Team was called in to lift the man to safety. We are told the man has serious back injuries.
That man and another person were taken to the hospital, but both are expected to be okay.
The investigation is ongoing.
