State police have charged the driver in Tuesday night's fatal accident in Dinwiddie with reckless driving.
The crash occurred around 8:44 p.m. when 51-year-old Leland Woods Jr struck a man who was walking along Boydton Plank Road. 58-year-old Glover Tucker died at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, Leland W. Woods Jr., 51, of Blackstone, who was wearing his safety belt, was not injured in the crash.
Southbound Boydton Plank Road was reopened to traffic shortly after 2:00 a.m. Wednesday.
After consultation with the Dinwiddie County Commonwealth's Attorney Office, Woods was charged with reckless driving.
