Richmond, VA (WWBT)- Since 1986, the CAA has called the Richmond Coliseum the home of its men's basketball tournament. With the loss of two in-state conference members, however, the league is exploring other options.
CAA Commissioner Tom Yeager said on Tuesday during his teleconference that no decision has been made regarding a change of venue for the men's basketball tournament, but he also said that the league is continuing to evaluate its options. Yeager did not deny an ESPN report that said the conference is looking at Philadelphia, Baltimore and Atlantic City as possible future locations for its hoops tournament.
The 2012 event saw an attendance record set at the four day CAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
