The new Henrico Police cruisers are ready for their close-up.
For the first time in over 40 years, the county's police patrol vehicles will have a new look. The 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Sedans will be issued to patrol sergeants and officers over the next few months.
In a news release, Henrico Police explained the new vehicles feature a more fuel efficient engine, wider wheels, rear view backup cameras and additional safety components.
The vehicles were built entirely in the United States, according to the release, and will be phased in through the police division's vehicle replacement schedule.
