
Henrico Police are investigating after two people were held at gunpoint on the side of the road early Saturday morning.
The first incident happened at about 12:20 a.m. in the 7600 block of Beth Road. Police tell us the victim was sitting in a car when the suspect approached, displayed a semi-automatic handgun, then demanded money. When the victim revealed he didn't have any cash on his person, both the victim and the suspect took off running in opposite directions.
According to Henrico Police, the suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a heavy accent, approximately 20 to 26-years-old, 5'10" to 6', approximately 175 lbs. with a thin build and medium complexion. The suspect was wearing a knit stocking mask and dark clothing.
About two hours later, a similar incident unfolded at 2:40 a.m. in the 300 block of Shetland Court. A suspect approached a person sitting in a car, pointed a handgun and demanded money. In this incident, the suspect was successful in taking cash from the victim. In addition, the suspect stole the victim's car keys, then fled the scene.
The suspect in this incident is described only as a male wearing a mask and approximately 160-170 lbs.
