A Chesterfield County school bus and car collided on Courthouse Road and Southlake Boulevard right in the middle of the morning rush.
Police say the bus was full of students when it happened.
Police say dozens of Midlothian Middle School students were on board when it rear ended another car.
Dr. Vicki VanCleave was on her way to work when she passed the accident.
"What concerned me was when I saw the back of the white car I wondered if there was an injury to the passenger," says Dr. VanCleave.
VanCleave says the intersection gets congested during rush hour.
"It's bumper to bumper and there are a lot of accidents on this road," she said.
Police say emergency crews checked several children for injuries. One child, reportedly in the sixth grade, and the two drivers were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
They're expected to be ok.
People who work around here say they're glad this accident was not worse.
The remaining students were taken to school on other buses.
