Robious Road fire ruled arsonA Midlothian man faces arson charges for a house fire in Chesterfield last month.
Authorities arrested 31-year-old John Bradley Smith and charged him with arson for a house fire in May.
Fire crews were dispatched to 10142 Robious Rd. on May 26 at 11:53 p.m. for the report of a fire. Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire coming from a vacant house. It took crews about an hour to get the fire under control.
The Chesterfield Fire Marshals determined the fire started on the outside of the residence and that the cause was suspicious in nature.
Smith is being held at the Riverside Regional Jail pending a hearing Tuesday in Chesterfield County General District Court.
