Redskins 'Thank You Tour' on the road this weekend

The Washington Redskins 80th anniversary ‘Thank You Tour' will be on the road this week when players and alumni visit Kings Dominion and the Richmond Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival on Saturday, June 9.

Redskins fans visiting Kings Dominion in Doswell, Va. will be able to win a chance to ride a roller coaster with a Redskins player. Text ‘Redskins' to 74674 to be entered to win a chance to ride a roller coaster, such as Volcano: The Blast Coaster and Intimidator 305, amongst others, with one of the Redskins players in attendance.

Winners will be announced throughout the week on the Kings Dominion Facebook page.

Redskins players Brandon Banks, Kevin Barnes, DeJon Gomes, DeAngelo Hall and Brandyn Thompson are expected to attend (schedules permitting). Redskins Ambassadors will also be present to sign autographs and take photos with fans.

The 80th Anniversary Thank You Tour events bring players, coaches and Redskins personnel to fan-friendly pep rallies across the region to commemorate the team's rich history, talented players and strong traditions. The events pay tribute to the team's 80th anniversary milestone, as well as thank devoted Redskins fans for their unwavering commitment.

    Police are investigating the death of a man in Henrico Friday night.  It happened before 10 p.m. at the Exxon gas station on Mechanicsville Turnpike near Crump Street.  Further details on the victim and how he died are still unknown.  Police have not said if there is a suspect in the case and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
