HANOVER, VA (WWBT) -

The Hanover County Sheriff's Office says the suspect in a deadly shooting in Mechanicsville will be arrested on a murder charge, following his release from the hospital.

Just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies say 33-year-old Ryan Markham, entered his estranged wife's home in the 8200 block of Candleberry Road, then began firing several rounds from an assault rifle. 30-year-old Sabrina Markham, died after being hit.

Markham's assault prompted another man in the home to begin firing back with a handgun. Both men sustained gunshot wounds and are currently at VCU Medical Center with serious injuries. That victim hasn't been identified at this time.

Investigators believe this all stemmed from a domestic dispute.

Upon release from the hospital, Markham faces charges murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and aggravated malicious wounding.
