Home invasion in downtown Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Police spent Saturday afternoon on the scene of home invasion in Downtown Richmond.

Officers tell us two suspects broke into an apartment unit in the 400 block of East Grace St. just after 2:00 p.m. The suspects displayed a gun and got away with cash, but fortunately nobody inside was hurt.

Police haven't released much of a description of the suspects. We're told one of the two is a male, but the gender of the other isn't certain at this time.

There was another home invasion about 1 1/2 miles away, Thursday night. Right now, police say there is no evidence suggesting this crime is linked to any others in the area.

If you have any information that can help police with their investigation, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
