Why am I always cold?

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VA (WWBT) - Dr. John Clay is answering the question many of his older patients ask "why am I always cold?"

Anemia and thyroid disease are common causes but one factor that is not often thought about by patients is muscle tissue loss.

There is a natural loss of muscle with aging and it is particularly more pronounced in elderly patients who do not get much physical activity.

Maintaining an active lifestyle with regular exercise can prevent muscle loss as you age.
