Animal bites

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - We have had several reports this week on animal bites.

Sometimes they amount to nothing more than a small cut. Other times it can be something much more dangerous.

In Chesterfield Dr. Sheila Clasbey doesn't mess around with animal bites.

These have the potential for tetanus exposure.

The first step is check on your tetanus immunization status, get immunized if longer than 10 years.

If you have a wound, see your doctor - they can help to determine the course of treatment.
