Mother, 3 children injured in Prince George crash

PRINCE GEORGE, VA (WWBT) - All lanes of I-95 north are back open in Prince George after a car ran off the road, flipping several times.

Michelle Witzel, of Spotsylvania, and her 11-year-old son were flown to VCU Medical Center with seriously, but non-life-threatening injuries. The woman's 14 and 21-year-old daughters were taken by ambulance to Southside Regional Medical Center. Everyone on-board was wearing a seat belt, according to police.

The crash happened around 6:00 p.m. Sunday, when State Police say the 47-year-old mother overcorrected while trying to change lanes near mile marker 44.5. She's been charged with reckless driving.
