RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Opponents of Virginia's new abortion clinic regulations say they're not giving up their fight.

A group plans to bombard the State Board of Health.

Their anger stems from legislation passed last year that requires abortion clinics to meet the same standards as hospitals.

The group is called Oppose-TRAP. TRAP stands for: Targeted Regulation Against Abortion Providers.

In a statement on their website it says members plan to flood the board of health with emails, phone calls and personal visits Thursday.

Critics say these new regulations will force many clinics to close.

Some of those regulations include structural changes to clinics the meet the same building standards as new hospital construction.
