NBC 12 poll results: kid-friendly restaurants

There's a new restaurant in Shockoe Bottom. Tio Pablo is a Mexican restaurant opened by the owner of Lulu's and Millie's. Tio Pablo serves up tacos, tamales and tequilas, as well as to-go orders, including the fixings to make tacos at home. It's located at 1703 East Franklin Street in the former Boom Boom Burgers space.

You can help the Special Olympics while enjoying a slice of pizza. All 30 of the Cici's Pizza restaurants across Virginia are raising money for the Special Olympics. You can donate a dollar for a logo that says "Buy a smile, be a fan," which are then displayed in the restaurants. Cici's guests are also invited to help cover a law enforcement vehicle with torch run logos at a Dough Raisers fundraiser on May 2nd. Go to http://www.cicispizza.com for details.

Every Friday morning for the next month, we're going to show you what most popular restaurants, according to our viewers on Facebook, for things like being good for kids, mom's night out, and first dates.

Our first poll was to find the most kid-friendly restaurants in town. According to NBC12 viewers who voted, the most mentioned kid-friendly restaurant was Red Robin. There's one on West Broad, and another one on Midlothian Turnpike.

Another restaurant receiving praise is the Mexico Restaurant chain. There are 8 locations in Greater Richmond.

The third most popular, kid-friendly on our unscientific poll is Stevi B's Pizza in Mechanicsville.
