RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond taxpayers could get a little extra time to pay their car tax.
The city plans to extend the deadline for personal property taxes after it gave residents less than two weeks to pay up. The ordinance was introduced at Monday's City Council meeting and would allow taxpayers to avoid penalties if the bill is paid in full by June 1st.
City Council will meet in special session next week to approve the change.
