Kickers to retire Burke's No. 19

Richmond, VA (WWBT)- The Richmond Kickers will face defending league champion Orlando on Saturday night, but it will also serve as a special night for a former star who did so much for the Kickers' program.

Mike Burke will have his number 19 retired by the club.  Burke spent eleven years with the club from 2000-2010.  He made 275 appearances for the Kickers in that time span, scoring 38 goals and dishing out 61 assists.  Burke also did a lot to develop the club's youth programs through coaching and teaching the game of soccer.

The Kickers are 1-1 on the season and will look to climb above the .500 mark on the young season.  After falling in its season opener to Charleston, the Kickers got one back last week against the Battery, winning 2-1.  Saturday night's match will get underway at 7:00pm.
