Richmond, VA (WWBT)- Bradford Burgess put together one of the most successful careers of any player to wear a VCU uniform. Now the Midlothian native hopes that success translates to the professional level.
Burgess has spent the last month and a half getting ready to workout with pro teams before the NBA Draft on June 28. The former Ram is not sure whether or not he'll start out in the NBA or over-seas, saying that all depends on players leave school early and his position and how his workouts for teams go. He also said that it's been less stressful since his college career ended. He saw a different role this year with the Rams as a leader on and off the court, following the departure of four starters and seniors from VCU's Final Four team.
The former VCU star set an NCAA record with 146 consecutive starts during his college career. He says he'll go out and try his best during his workouts and see where things fall, as he bounces around the country during the next two months prior to the NBA Draft.
