House fire breaks out in Richmond's north side

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Investigators are trying to figure out what started a house fire in Richmond early Thursday morning.

This happened in the 2200 block of 3rd Avenue on the city's north side.

The fire started just before 1:00 a.m.

A woman inside the house heard something, got out quickly and called 911.

Firefighters tell us the flames were mostly inside the house.

They say it started on the first floor, then moved to the second floor.

It took them about 45 minutes to get control of the fire. No one got hurt.

Investigators tell us from the looks of things, the fire doesn't look suspicious.
