Death penalty may be dropped in murder of Henrico pregnant woman

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Henrico's top prosecutor has to decide whether to move forward with the death penalty case against Gregory Nelson, Junior.

Nelson faces a capital murder charge in the 2011 stabbing death of his girlfriend, Susana Cisneros, and their unborn child.

Commonwealth's Attorney Shannon Taylor said she's considering a first degree murder case against nelson, which carries life in prison.

A decision is expected in July.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
