RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A bizarre traffic accident sent two people to the hospital when a mini-van lost control and ended up inside the Krispy Kreme on Broad Street.
Police say the driver crossed three lanes of on-coming traffic, hit the sidewalk, and knocked a painter off a ladder, before ending up inside the donut store. Both the driver and the painter are expected to be okay. No one inside the building was hurt.
Krispy Kreme had planned to hold its "re-opening" activities today. The company will post its new re-opening day sometime later on Facebook.
