RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A memorial will be held Tuesday in Henrico for a little girl who lost her battle with a rare disease.
Kaitlyn Bourgeault suffered from Niemann-Pick Disease, Type A.
She lacked an enzyme that breaks down fatty substances found in every cell in the body.
The disease is so rare Kaitlyn was one of only five people diagnosed in the country.
Kaitlyns family lives in North Carolina, but her mother is from Henrico.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday evening at 6:45 at the Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Glen Allen.
