HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico Police are investigating after a man robbed a 7-Eleven convenience store early Sunday morning.

Just after 12:30 a.m., police say a white male entered the store in the 6300 block of Horsepen Road. The suspect waited until customers left the store, then went behind the counter and ordered the clerk to open the register.

Police tell us the suspect kept his hands in his pockets and a weapon was never displayed.

The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. The store clerk wasn't injured.

A description of the suspect is vague at this time, but we're told the male appears to be in his early to mid-twenties.

If you know anything that can help police with their investigation, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. You will remain anonymous.
