CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - The Children's Museum of Richmond is coming to Chesterfield County.
By this summer, the space in the Winterpock Crossings Shopping Center on Hull Street will be home to the museum's second satellite location.
Work inside is already underway for an array of exhibits, including a town square, stage, art studio and "under the sea" area.
"There's an educational aspect first, it happens to be fun," said Children's Museum President Kern Coltrane. "Kids learn best through play, so everything we do is to create environments, or exhibits, our programs that allow children to learn through play. That's how they learn best, frankly, that's how we all learn best."
There will also be space for private events.
The museum also has a satellite location in Short Pump.
