UVA and Norfolk State set for tournament play

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - UVA and Norfolk State will hit the court hard Friday.

UVA is making a return to the big dance for the first time since 2007.

The Wahoos are a 10th seed team and will face the 7th seeded Florida Gators this afternoon.

UVA is facing some big odds.

The team is hurt by injuries and player transfers.

The Cavaliers having lost five of its eight games coming in to Fridays match up against the Gators.

Tip-off is at 2:10pm in Omaha, Nebraska.

Norfolk State is set to upset when they play.

The Spartans are ranked 15th and will take on the number two seed Missouri.

This is the first time Norfolk State has ever played in the NCAA tournament.

Tip-off for that game is 4:40pm in Omaha.

If both UVA and Norfolk State win their games, the teams could play each other in the next round.
